LJUBLJANA - The football teams of Celje, Maribor, and Olimpija will play in the final round of the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers. Maribor and Olimpija secured their spots by winning their third-round matches in Vojvodina and Moldova, respectively, while Celje lost their third-round Europa League match and dropped to the third-tier European club competition.
KATOWICE - Dutch cyclist Olav Kooij, a member of the Visma-Lease a Bike team, won the fourth stage of the Tour of Poland. His teammate, Danish rider Jonas Vingegaard, retained the overall lead. Last year’s winner, Matej Mohorič, finished with the main group and moved up to sixth place in the overall standings.
GENEVA - The Slovenian basketball team remained in 11th place in the FIBA World Ranking. The Olympic champions, the USA, are at the top, while Serbia overtook the world champions, Germany, for second place.
